MORE ABOUT THE PROJECT
Bom Sucesso tells the story of Paloma, a seamstress who discovers her love for books and begins to relate her life to famous novels and tales by great writers.
The opening titles match techniques between 2D animation and 3D texturing to simulate a long flap of cloth and seams. The main idea was to emphasize the lines of the illustration in the 3D environment to cause this feeling of relief between the layers. After the 2D animation was completed, a normal color video was exported (for each scene) and then some black and white videos were used as a mask and displacement for each line that needed to be extruded.
