I had a blast animating the new League of Legends campaign for Riot Games Brazil called Soul Fighter, working with the dream team from Histeria Studio.
They invited me to animate this 16x9 hero film as part of a larger project. The idea was to build everything in a way that would make it easy for the rest of the team to replicate and create other format variations.
I had almost three weeks to animate everything, so I asked my friend Pedro de Britto to help me animate some of the sequences, and we worked on a divide-and-conquer mentality to ensure everything ran smoothly.

ANIMATING THE COLISEUM ILLUSTRATIONS
One of the most exciting parts of the project to animate was those beautiful illustrations from Riot, showing the Arena/Coliseum from different angles. Although the project for those illustrations was well-organized and divided into different planes to animate the parallax effects, I had the chance to use Photoshop's AI to help me separate and recreate some details, like the water and some pieces that weren't separated and I was planning to animate.
Inside after effects, I tried two differents ways to achieve the parallax effect. One was building the classic 3D layers and animating the Z-axis. The other one was using Duik Ángela, a thridy party plugin by RxLaboratory, which gave me the ability to work on a 2D comp while also creating parameters to animate and simulate a fake camera doing some kinda of handheld movement.
